🚧 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐃 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 🚧 Heads up, Rose Hill! We were informed today by the railroad representatives that 𝐄. 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 will be closed again for additional work on Wednesday, October 9, and Thursday, October 10. Please plan your routes accordingly. We’ll continue to keep you updated!

BNSF has temporarily reopened the railroad crossing at 190th/79th. Later this month, the crossing will close again for final construction work at that crossing. We will notify you as soon as BNSF provides us with the closure date and they hope to have signs posted accordingly. Once closed, the crossing will remain closed until early November for the completion of the project. Thank you for your understanding and patience as this work continues. Stay tuned for updates!

**Community Post** CLOTHES CLOSET OPEN HOUSE The next Clothes Closet Open House will be held tomorrow, October 5th, from 9:30 AM to Noon in the small white building at the south end of the Rose Hill Christian Church parking lot. This offering of free clothing is open to individuals in financial need within the Rose Hill, Douglass, and Udall school district areas. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own bags (trash bags work well), and they kindly ask that anyone feeling unwell refrain from attending. The Clothes Closet provides clothing for infants through adults. Items include seasonal essentials such as coats, hats, gloves, scarves, hoodies, sweats, and boots, as well as year-round necessities like jeans, pants, shirts, dresses, skirts, sweaters, cardigans, pajamas, bathrobes, tank tops, children’s and men’s underwear, socks, and a wide selection of shoes and boots. Clothing donations are accepted but must be clean, gently used, smoke-free, and animal hair-free. For any questions, please contact 316-258-0817 and leave your name and number for a callback. We have a system called Raptor that notifies our teachers for alarms, lockdowns, etc. There was accidentally a false alarm for a lockdown this morning. There was no lockdown. When there actually is one, we will notify you as soon as possible. Sorry, Superintendent Lambert

The pallets that some of our materials came in on are starting to stack up at the USD 394 Central Office and we have more than we need right now. Rose Hill residents are welcome to come and get one or as many as you’d like. All we ask is that the rest are left in a neat pile, away from the alley, and please be careful going through them (you might wear a pair of gloves). No need to check in to our office. There is an alley on the East side of the building off of Berry and the pallets are located on the Northeast side of our building. The vet clinic occasionally walks the dogs near that alley so please watch out for our four-legged friends as well.
