Again, just the messengers here. But in case you haven't heard, Butler County will begin a major road project on N Rose Hill Rd/SW Butler Rd (SW 170th to SW 155th) starting Monday, April 6, 2026.
⚠️ This is a COUNTY project, not a city project—we’re sharing this to keep everyone informed.
What to expect:
‣ Road closures south of SW 160th St
‣ One northbound lane open in some phases
‣ Detours and shifting traffic patterns
‣ Access to homes and emergency services will remain open
If last week’s work at the railroad was any indication, we know this can be frustrating. This project will last longer, so please plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
We’ll continue to share updates as we get them and we'll send a reminder notification out the day before it starts, as well.

It’s 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤, and we are incredibly grateful for two very special people in our district!
Mai Daye, our District Social Worker, and Rashel Pemrick, our Behavioral Health Liaison, work quietly behind the scenes every single day making a difference for our students and families.
They are the steady presence when a student needs someone to listen.
The calm voice during hard moments.
The bridge between school and home.
The reminder that no one has to figure things out alone.
Their work isn’t always visible, but its impact absolutely is. Because of them, students feel supported, families feel heard, and our schools are stronger.
Mai and Rashel - thank you for the compassion, patience, and heart you bring to our district every day. We are so lucky to have you!
If you'd like to reach out to either of them for anything that you or your family may need, please don't hesitate to do so...
