Winter sports parent meeting for girls wrestling and boys basketball will be Tuesday, January 13th at 5:30 in the middle school main gym.

Girls wrestling and boys basketball practices will start Monday, January 5th after school. A physical must be on file with the office prior to practices starting.

Reminder: Any 7th and 8th grade girl interested in wrestling - there is an informational meeting tomorrow morning at 8:45 in Mr. Maxwell's room (707). The SportsYou group information is attached.

Patriot League South Champions!!! The seventh-grade team faced Clearwater in the championship game tonight. The Rockets outperformed Clearwater, achieving a 29-25 win!! Congratulations to the ladies on a remarkable season! Rocket Proud!🚀

Join us for the RHMS winter concert!

The 7th grade basketball team has advanced to the championship game!! They will face Clearwater on Monday at 4:30 in Clearwater. The 8th grade team defeated Mulvane in the first round and proceeded to the second round of the league tournament, where they faced Clearwater. Unfortunately, the team fell short against the Indians. It was a great season, and the team is commended for their hard work and dedication. Rocket proud! 🚀

The RHMS wrestling team has concluded their season at the league tournament in Wellington, achieving a commendable 3rd place finish as a team!! These young athletes have worked tirelessly throughout the season, and their perseverance has yielded impressive results. Someone get the broom out!! The girls' basketball teams swept Haysville West tonight, marking the end of the regular season. Four wins were secured on the night!! The 7A team defeated Haysville West 33-20. The 8A team secured a win with a score of 25-20. The 7B and 8B teams concluded their season by beating Haysville West! The 7B team dominated Haysville West, 21-6, and the 8B team won 31-23!! 7A and 8A will head to Clearwater Saturday for the league tournament. 7A will play the winner of Wellington and Winfield at noon, and 8A will play Mulvane at 9 am. Rocket Proud🚀

RHMS GIRLS BASKETBALL GAME NOTIFICATION:

RHMS girls basketball against Haysville West will be at RHMS tonight. First game will start at 4:30.

The lady Rockets hosted Circle for their final home game of the season tonight. Unfortunately, the evening did not favor the Rockets as they failed to secure a win. 7A lost 24-26 and 7B lost 6-36. 8A fell short to Circle, 20-35, and 8B lost 17-21. The Rockets will next face Haysville West on Thursday. Let’s go Rockets!

The girls' basketball team resumed competition tonight, facing off against Augusta. The evening was marked by intense excitement, with spectators on the edge of their seats. 8A secured the sole victory, defeating Augusta 31-20. 8B played a shortened game due to Augusta's limited roster, ultimately falling 4-9. The 7th-grade team engaged in two fiercely contested matches, pushing Augusta to work hard for their wins. 7A suffered a narrow 19-21 loss to Augusta. 7B went into overtime, but unfortunately, the Rockets lost 15-16. The team will face Circle on Monday. Rocket Proud!

Tomorrow's 8B girls basketball game will be 2 quarters due to Augusta having limited players. The 8A game will start 10 minutes after the conclusion of 8B.

The Rockets hit the road today, with wrestling matches against Circle and Clearwater in McPherson and girls basketball headed south for a matchup against Ark City. The wrestling team achieved a 1-1 record, with a victory over Clearwater. The girls' basketball team had a successful night, with 7A defeating Ark City 48-1 and 8A winning against Ark City 29-17. Although 7B fought hard, they were unable to secure a win, losing 16-11. 8B also lost to Ark City, with a score of 21-15. Great job tonight, Rockets!

There will be NO FCA meeting tomorrow morning (12/3); however, KAYS and STUCO ARE meeting tomorrow at 8:35. It is very important for kiddos to attend this meeting. We have announced these changes to the students, but wanted to make parents aware, as well. Thank you for your flexibility.
