Principal Robertson channeled his inner quarterback skills with Patrick Mahomes after the Chiefs' exciting Super Bowl win last night! 🏈✨ Mr. Robertson sure knows how to shake off the stress of a Monday and bring some touchdown vibes to the office! 😀

Picture packets for the middle school spring picture day should be coming home soon (if they haven't already). Picture day will be Thursday, Feb. 22. Parents can order online ahead of time with the code: EVT8PQDS6, or wait until proofs are in to order.

Parents: We have several illnesses making the rounds at the middle school. If your student is running a temperature or presenting symptoms, please keep them home to help mitigate the spread of germs. Be sure to call the office to report their absence. Any student running a temperature of 100.1 or higher at school will be sent home. As a reminder, if a student is absent 3 or more consecutive days, they will be required to provide a doctor's note to the office for their absences. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school healthy!

All 8th graders and their parents are invited to the high school enrollment fair from 5:00-7:30pm on Wed., Feb. 14, in the high school auxiliary gym. Come see what classes, clubs, and opportunities are available and get information on the upcoming enrollment process. Hope to see you there!

Due to an all-staff training on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the high school, the middle school building will NOT open early. Doors will open at the regularly scheduled time of 8:55am. Parents, if you drop your students off early in the morning, please make sure they are dressed appropriately for the weather. Thank you!

RHMS will be hosting the league band festival on March 20th. The middle school will not have school that day to allow us to accommodate the band festival and the schools attending. Band students will receive additional information from their band teacher on schedule and report time at a later date.
We would like to clarify regarding the incident that occurred today at the middle school dance. This was a false accusation!
It was rumored a student was in possession of a weapon. After thorough investigation by Administration, USD 394 SRO, Rose Hill PD and the BUCO Sheriffs Department, it was determined there was no threat and no weapon. This was a rumor that quickly spread through students, which caused panic.
Per our safety protocol, Administration quickly put the dance in lockdown, while authorities were investigating. When it was determined there was no threat and it was safe to resume, Administration communicated to students this exact information and the dance could continue and/or students were welcome to go outside to meet their parents and go home.
We want to assure you that student safety is our top priority! We ask that you please communicate to your students that Rose Hill Middle School is a safe place and we are excited for our learning to continue on Monday morning.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Did you know carrots can be re-planted to obtain more carrot seeds? Cut off the leaves and replant them until new leaves sprout, sending up a flower stalk which will eventually flower and produce seeds! This week the fruit and veggie bars at the Middle and High Schools are rockin!' The food Service Dept even added some charcuterie bowls!
