🚀 ROCKET PRIDE FRIDAY – A New Tradition Begins! 🚀
We’re proud of our small-town community and the big school pride that comes with it! This year, we’re starting something new—every Friday is Rocket Pride Friday! 🎉
💥 Wear your best Rocket gear OR our spirit colors: RED, WHITE, and BLACK.
Don’t have Rocket gear yet? No problem—we’re just getting started! Join in with our colors and help us grow this new tradition into something special. ❤️🤍🖤
Let’s fill our halls with Rocket spirit and show everyone just how much pride our small town has in its Rockets—every Friday!

Our Primary and Intermediate School students will be enjoying NEW playgrounds designed for more fun, more safety, and more inclusivity for all our youngest Rockets!
What’s New?
✅ Safer, modern design with soft turf surfaces to cushion falls
✅ Accessible pathways for our friends who use wheelchairs
✅ Engaging design to spark imagination & active play
✅ Football field, gaga ball pit, and more!
From climbing adventures to imaginative games, these new playgrounds are almost ready for memories to be made.
📸 See the drone photos of our new play spaces here: View Playground Photos
NOTE: Over the next several weeks, we’ll be talking with students about the do’s and don’ts of our playgrounds. We’ll need your help as well. We’d love it if guardians could help remind the kiddos to take care of it so we can all enjoy it for years to come. Thank you in advance!
We hope everyone had a GREAT day back to school!!
🚀 First Day of School is TOMORROW – Wednesday, August 13! 🎒✏️
Just a reminder… every Wednesday is Late Start for our schools EXCEPT for Rocket Launch, which will follow its normal start time.

We’ve received some calls from families wondering why textbook enrollment fees are still showing on their account even though they’ve been approved for free or reduced fees.
Please know that this is a normal part of the process - fee waivers are not applied immediately upon approval. Our Food Service Director is currently working hard to finalize menus and prepare our kitchens for the start of school, and we appreciate your patience as we work through these beginning-of-the-year tasks.
Rest assured: no late fees will be assessed while we finalize these updates. We kindly ask families to hang tight and allow a little time for everything to be processed. Thank you for your understanding and support as we kick off a great school year!

As part of required security updates following last year’s PowerSchool data breach, we were required to reset all student Gmail passwords (grades 6–12). These Gmail accounts are used to log into PowerSchool, so students will not be able to access PowerSchool until they receive their new passwords.
New login credentials will be distributed during the first week of school.
If students need to view their schedules before then, they can do so through the Parent PowerSchool Portal.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue to prioritize student safety and data security.

New This Year at Rose Hill: Student ID Activity Pass for 6-12 graders
Beginning this school year, all Rose Hill students in grades 6-12 will have their photos taken during the first two weeks of school for Student ID cards. These ID cards will be available for a one-time fee of $25 and will grant students free admission to all middle and high school home activities, with the exception of dances and KSHSAA-sponsored competitions. This includes events at both schools - so middle school students can attend high school events for free, and vice versa.
To gain entry, students must present their Student ID card. If a student does not have an ID card, regular admission fees will apply. Replacement cards will be available for $5.
Why This Change?
As a district, we want to ensure that cost is never a barrier for our students to participate in and enjoy school events. In previous years, many students spent upwards of $100 annually just to attend a few activities. This new program significantly reduces that cost and encourages greater student involvement.
If you choose not to purchase the Student ID card, that’s completely fine, your student can still attend events by paying regular admission and will not receive an ID card.

It’s time to get ready for an exciting new year at Rose Hill Schools! Our Back to School Enrollment Guide is here to help you with everything you need—key dates, enrollment and fees, transportation info, and more!
