The RHMS girls golf team participated in the Prairie Hills Invitational in Hutchinson today. Lena Roehrman secured a tie for ninth place on the varsity side with a score of 58! Raegan McGrew achieved second place with a 49 and Grace Simmons placed fourth with a 51 in the JV division! Congratulations to the team!! Rocket Proud🚀

DARE graduation has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 29th at 2 pm in the main gym.

Our boys golf team secured another outstanding second-place finish and were crowned champions of the Gambinos buffet! The Rockets experienced significant success in Winfield today. The individual medalists were Bryson Liebl, who achieved sixth place with a score of 47, Henry Robbins, who secured ninth place with a 48, and Braylon Dees, who finished eleventh with a 50. Troy Gee and Bryce Hobson both ranked top 10 in the JV category with a score of 59. Congratulations Rockets!

RHMS soccer teams faced off against Derby Middle School tonight and emerged victorious! The lady Rockets secured a 4-2 win against the Bulldogs and the boys delivered an 8-1 victory!Congratulations to the Rockets on an outstanding night!!! Rocket Proud🚀

Due to impending weather, all middle school sports practices have been cancelled for today, 4/17.

Due to the impending weather, the 6th grade DARE graduation scheduled for today has been postponed. Once a new date is secured, we will send out a notification.

RHMS soccer faced off against the Derby North Falcons tonight. The boys defeated the Falcons 7-1! Unfortunately, the lady Rockets fell short to the Falcons, 1-9. The Rockets will be back in action on Monday taking on Derby Middle School in Rose Hill. Rocket proud🚀

Today marked another outstanding day for the RHMS golf team! The Rockets participated in the Wellington Invitation, where the boys' team secured second place! Notable individual performances included Henry Robbins, who achieved third place with a score of 39, and Bryson Liebl, who placed tenth with a score of 45! On the girls' side, Lena Roehrman placed fourth with a score of 53, while Ainsley Nickelson secured seventh place with a 58! Congratulations to the Rockets on their impressive performance. RHMS Stuco is hosting an end-of-year spirit week next week (April 20-24) to celebrate the end of state testing and have a little fun as we get closer to another school year coming to an end! We hope you'll join us in the fun!

A great day at the Heartland Music Festival! Band and choir won sweepstakes awards with superior ratings from the judges. The percussion section won outstanding section and Tucker McDonald won outstanding solo award. Jericho Solorio received outstanding narration for his speaking part in choir and in percussion! It was an amazing day for our Rockets!! Rocket proud!!🚀

Promotion for RHMS 8th graders (in good standing) will be Friday, May 15, at 9:30am, in the RHMS main gym. Please do not arrive earlier than 9:10. Friends and family of 8th graders are invited to attend this "special" event in the lives of our students. This year we are working to make promotion both fun and meaningful for students, families, and staff. Students will be wearing their class T-shirts, so "dress-up" clothes are not necessary, but I do hope that they will wear nice shorts or jeans/slacks (no athletic shorts, sweats, or pajama bottoms). After the promotion, students will be going bowling. Parents should have already received information regarding T-shirts and after-promotion activities. Today, RHMS golf hosted a junior varsity invitational, and despite the wind, the team achieved some excellent scores. The girls' team secured second place!! Individual medalists for the boys included G. White in seventh place and B. Hobson in tenth place. For the girls, P. Haugh placed sixth and K. Pacheco earned tenth place. Rocket Proud🚀

We are once again preparing for our annual 8th grade RealityU simulation and are looking for volunteers. This year's date is Tuesday, May 5. There are two sessions (8:30-10:30 and 10:00-12:00). Volunteers can sign up for one or both sessions, and descriptions of each station are listed in the sign-up link below. Please call the middle school office if you have any questions.
