The outlook for Rose Hill Volleyball this year is looking encouraging! We have proven we are able to pick up big wins in the past and we are developing new great players for this season and the future. Last year the team had 22-15 win record. A few accomplishments from last season are that we started the season with 11 wins before we picked up our first loss. We beat Circle at Substate to make it to substate finals.
This season we have multiple returning key players from last season; Addison Rockley, middle blocker, senior, Natalie Hernandez-Rodela, defensive specialist, senior, Emme McNaul, defensive specialist, junior, and Chloe Mock, outside hitter, sophomore.
The team has a strong league lineup with teams like Clearwater, Andale, and Collegiate. We have two big tournaments at Campus and Wichita North. We will be competing against several top 5A and 6A schools in Maize, Wichita North, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, and Derby.
Head coach Cherrith Mock says, “This is my 8th year as head coach in Rose Hill. I have been coaching volleyball now for 20 years.” Coach Mock also stated, “We are fairly young with only 3 seniors having significant varsity experience. I have quite a few sophomores that stepped up this summer and put in work. I will have two new setters running the court so that will take some time getting in sync with the hitters.”
We can't wait to see what the Lady Rockets accomplish this season!
