Weekend welding workshop header

There is something satisfying about learning a skill you can immediately put to use.

This summer, Butler Community College's Career and Workforce Education program is offering a Weekend Welding Workshop at its Rose Hill Campus, giving community members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with some of the most common welding processes used in industry today.

The four-week Saturday workshop will introduce participants to MIG, TIG, and Stick welding while emphasizing proper safety practices and foundational welding techniques. The program is designed to accommodate a variety of experience levels, from complete beginners to individuals already working in the skilled trades.

The workshop may be especially appealing to high school students exploring career pathways, homeowners interested in tackling their own projects, hobbyists, artists, and employees looking to expand their skill set.

Classes will be held on Saturdays from July 11 through August 1, 2026, at Butler Community College's Rose Hill Campus, located at 712 S. Rose Hill Road.

Participants must be at least 16 years old. Certain safety equipment, including gloves, safety glasses, boots, and appropriate welding attire, is required.

Rose Hill Schools values its partnership with Butler Community College and is pleased to share opportunities that support workforce development and lifelong learning within our community.
