RHHS Kay Club
Welcome to the Kansas Association for Youth
KAY was started in 1946 by a group of students that wanted to get involved. KAY Club is unique to the state of Kansas and our focus is on community service and leadership. It is sponsored by the Kansas Highschool Athletic Association.
KAY members are expected to be involved. We participate in 4 areas of service: school, community, nation, world and also club recreation. Members earn points for everything they do and help with. We have volunteered at the Hygiene Pantry, Kansas Food Bank, Lord’s Diner, UM Clothes Closet, Multiple Sclerosis bike-a-thon, adopted animals at the zoo, donated money to lots of charities, baked cookies for our police and fire department, prepared lunch for our teachers, food scavenger hunt for our local food pantry and participated in the Turkey Trot.
Our goal as a club is to show you that even doing anything is better than doing nothing and helping others can be rewarding and fun.
