Kansas Weatherization Assistance Program
Weatherization improves heating and cooling efficiency and energy savings by ensuring a home holds in heat and air conditioning while keeping hot and cold air out. The Weatherization Assistance Program is offered at no charge to income-eligible families. Weatherization may include:
- Sealing drafts and air leaks
- Caulking doors and windows
- Weatherstripping
- Testing, cleaning, and repairing heating and cooling systems and water heaters
- Insulating ceilings, walls, floors, and foundations
- Upgrading lighting, fans, and refrigerators
To apply, click HERE for the application and follow the instructions on the form. After the application is accepted, a weatherization specialist will conduct a home energy audit to identify the needs. They will then complete the necessary work and conduct a post-weatherization audit to assure quality. All at no charge to income-eligible families.
