RHHS Kay Club Hosted the Area 6 Regional Conference
Rose Hill HS KAY Club hosted the Area 6 Regional conference on November 4th. Thirty-two schools attended the conference. The conference is designed to promote leadership and service ideas and so each club can receive their service award from the previous year.
Rose Hill received the Gold award for the sixth consecutive year. In addition, a new area president and area sponsor were elected and Rose Hill High School student Skyla Thomas-Frazier was elected to lead this position.
Chris Cakes served 287 students pancakes and sausage for lunch.
For the Roll em’ behind the scenes activity, each school made a turkey wreath to take back to their school as an appreciation gift. RHHS Kay students challenged each school to bring supplies or postage money to fill KFDI’s Christmas in a Box for soldiers serving overseas. Collections were enough to fill 3 big boxes and $77.75 was collected.
Guest speakers for the day included Liz Wallis, 2016 Paralympian; Chris Fantasky, KAY Alumni; Cheryl Gleason, KSHSAA KAY Rep.; and speakers from Harry Hynes Hospice, United Way, Rainbows United, Equine Hope in the Valley and the Arc of Butler County.
Thank you supporters of RHHS Kay Club!
