Teacher Appreciation Breakfast May 4, 2016 - Honoring Retirees
It was a full house this year in the High School Commons for the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. Two Board members Patricia Madden-Beran and Board President Kirk Hayden were present, as well as USD 394 staff members.
There were mini candy bars and goodies down the center of each table. Food Service provided cheese filled omelets, sausage patties, fruit cocktail, mini muffins, bananas, apples, hash browns, orange juice and coffee. As each staff member exited the serving area they were given a meal and drink gift card from Chick-fil-A.
There were four guest books for staff and guests to sign as they arrived one for each of the retirees Kathy Biegert Santo, David Bartley, Debbie Firebaugh, and Butch Gilbert.
After everyone had a chance to finish their breakfast Superintendent Randal Chickadonz welcomed retirees and staff and thanked the Food Service staff. He then introduced the retirees and thanked them for their service to Rose Hill Schools.
Each retiree received from the Board of Education and Staff a card and a Bulova mantle clock with walnut finish. Each clock had a brass plate that included the following “In Appreciation of Dedicated Service to Rose Hill Schools, USD 394”, the retiree's name and years of service.
Superintendent Chickadonz stated, “Without telling you the total of years each teacher has taught, there are over a century of years of experience and service standing before you. Thank you.”
Staff enjoyed the opportunity to reminisce, and take pictures before heading back to their daily duties. All had a good time.
Rose Hill Board of Education and Administration appreciate the dedication and service of all staff members, and wish the best for what the future holds for this year's retirees.
