Retirement Celebration for Ruthi Howard
After 28 years, Ruthi Howard decided retirement was in her foreseeable future. After much deliberation that took almost a year Ruthi's last day of employment at Rose Hill Schools was Friday, September 26, 2014. Ruthi began employment at USD 394 on August 11, 1986.
The day began with a surprise visit from her brother David McVay from Plains, KS and her sister Kathy Oliver from Augusta, KS.
Mid morning Ruthi visited the buildings to bid farewell. For lunch Ruthi and her siblings joined the Administrative office staff members at "Oh, Yeah!" a Chinese Bistro on North Rock Road, Wichita, KS. Chinese food was one of Ruthi’s favorites. She had many…

The third picture is one of Ruthi holding her Chadbourne Chiming Mantle Clock by Bulova from the School District Board and Staff. The clock has a brass plate on the front with the following engraved: In Appreciation of Dedicated Service to Rose Hill USD 394.
