Read Across America 2014 - Elementary Library
This year Elementary School students participated in Read Across America by dressing in character each day. Tuesday was themed "Oh the Places We Can Go," students dressed up like what they want to be when they grow up. Wednesday was "Wacky Wednesday," students wore wacky clothes (backwards, etc.). Thursday was "Green Eggs and Ham," students wore pajamas and brought stuffed animals. Friday was "Cat in the Hat," and everyone wore a hat. Monday was suppose to be "1 Fish, 2 Fish, Blue Fish, Red Fish," and students were going to wear red and blue, but it turned out to be a snow day.
Students received Dr. Seuss book markers, and had a fun time trying to figure out how many colorful Goldfish crackers were in the bowl.
Rose Hill Primary School Principal Mrs. Reilly brought doughnuts for the students on Thursday.
A good time was had by all. Thanks to the many volunteers and to those who supplied the many pictures! Click on the words Read Across America to view the slides. Read Across America
