OLD BUSINESS
Minutes from August
Minutes were handed out and read. Laura Songer made a motion to accept the minutes as written. Amanda Naillieux gave the second. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report
Kelli went over the treasurer’s report. A motion was made by Nyleen Lacy to accept the minutes as written and a second was given by Rhonda Taylor. Motion passed.
Spirit Wear
A design was shown that Heather Gray sent. We are going to do them on red/white tie dye shirts. Gena is going to get with Heather and get prices finalized. There are also going to be several other items available besides t-shirts. Heather will be getting the orders together and to the school soon.
By-Laws
There has only been one change made to the by-laws. We have changed board term from one year to two years. There was a motion made by Nyleen Lacy to accept the new by-laws as written and a second was given by Amanda Naillieux. Motion passed.
Teachers Grants
We paid out a total of $5100.00 to the teachers. We raised the grants from $50.00 to $60.00. We received several thank you cards.
NEW BUSINESS
Home room parent meeting
April Morris handed out all of the folders for home room moms and is putting together a meeting. We will be getting list of party days from the principals.
Book Fair/Hot Dog Feed
The Hot Dog feed will be on October 23rd. There is a $300.00 budget. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Angela Boese or Gena Wade.
Fund Raisers
Kelli Farber will be working with the restraunts in town to find some dates for Dining Around Town. We are going to try to do the picture fundraiser again this year. Last year PTC received the $10.00 sitting fee. We are going to contact Eilert’s Photography about being the photographer for us. Some expressed having more dates available in order for it to be more successful. We will be checking on this soon. Dream Dinners was a fundraiser we tried last year. We received money from every order that was purchased by a person saying they came from the Rose Hill PTC. We will be trying that again also.
Input about other fundraisers
If you have ideas please contact one of the PTC board members. Rhonda Taylor talked about doing a change drive. The children would bring in their loose change and put it in a can for a reward such as principal kisses a pig etc. if they raise a certain amount.
We are talking about doing a Turkey Bingo in the Fall on a smaller scale than the Spring Bingo. We would still do the Spring Bingo with all of the baskets. We are going to be checking into having our spirit wear at a table for Fall Festival. Another fund raiser idea was selling magazine subscriptions.
A motion was made by Nyleen Lacy to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 and a second was made by Janet Boyer. Meeting adjourned.
A Pizza Hut certificate was won by Rhonda Crosby.
