PTC MINUTES October 24, 2006
Jennifer Herrera welcomed everyone and asked them to read over the minutes from the September meeting.
Minutes
Motion made by Kay Walker to accept minutes as is and a 2nd was given by Jeff Maxwell. Motion passed
Treasurer’s Report
Kelli went over treasurer’s report and read a letter from Angela Boese thanking PTC for their help with the hot dog feed and explaining the success of the bookfair and what the money would go for. Motion to pass the treasurer’s report was made by Marcy Morris and a second was given by Mr. Collier. Motion passed.
Yearbook
Kelli reported a deposit of $4716.00 was made on October 20th.
School Store
Mr. Collier explained that after much discussion it was decided we would no longer have a school store.
Spirit Wear
Debbie Kill had talked with Melinda McKnown and she said Melinda plans to have an order form together and distributed soon.
Homeroom Parent meeting
Wendy Weiss reported they talked about the plan and dates for the year and that attendance was pretty good.
Family Pictures
Staci Rodman updated us on the fundraiser for family portraits that will be taken by Through the Lens in November. She handed out the letter that will be sent home with children next week and she will start setting appointments. If anyone would like to volunteer for Saturday, November 4th let her know.
Dream Dinners
Jennifer Herrera talked about the Dream Dinners fundraiser that will go through the 18th of November with $20.00 being donated to PTC for every 12-meal pack bought and $10.00 donated for every 6-meal pack. For more information go to www.dreamdinners.com or contact Jennifer.
Concession Stand
Kelli still needs help for the concession stand on the 28th of October at the high school. Contact her to volunteer or if you know of anyone that would like to volunteer.
New Business
Jennifer Herrera showed a fundraiser idea of “Rose Hillopoly” (like Monopoly) where businesses around town can buy squares for the board and then we sell them to make money for PTC. She has the brochure if anyone is interested in looking into it.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 by Sherri Strawn and a second by Kathleen Jones. Motion passed.
