PTC MINUTES – February 27, 2007
Jennifer Herrera opened the meeting and welcomed everyone.
Minutes
Went over the minutes from the January meeting. Nyleen Lacy made a motion to accept them as written with a second given by Freema Covey. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report
Kelli went over the treasurer’s report for the month. She showed us the Bingo license that came in today. Sherri Strawn made a motion to accept the minutes as written and Sabrina Cantrell gave a second.
Old Business
Popcorn Day
We will be having popcorn day on March 15th. Gena Wade has the list of volunteers and she will be contacting them. She is out of town, but will do it when she returns.
Bingo
Shelly Gardner went over information for Bingo night that will be held in the multi-purpose room on Saturday, April 14th from 5:00-8:00. Games will start at 6:00. Classroom baskets will be set up for people to start the silent auction on at 5:00. Lisa Slade has volunteered to organize the classroom baskets this year. Committees are being formed. Sabrina Cantrell will be in charge of the concessions. If anyone would like to volunteer to help on a committee contact Gena Wade or Shelley Gardner.
New Business
Hot Dog feed at Book Fair
Angela Boese had asked that PTC fund the hot dog feed for the book fair. Funding was approved and the library will receive the profits to purchase William Allen White Books for 2007/2008.
Fun Day
We are looking into having a Fun Day for the kids where we would set up some of the carnival games in the gym and possibly get the blow up jumping gyms or slides. In talking we decided doing it opposite the Kids Fitness Day might work well. It will be discussed at the Wednesday morning meetings and we will set the definite date at our March meeting.
Nyleen Lacy made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 and a second was given by Freema Covey. Meeting adjourned.
