Soccer gets 1st win in 2nd OT
The Boys Soccer team traveled to Berean Tuesday night to face off against the Berean Warriors. Dylan Simmons started off the Rockets with the 1st goal of the night assisted by Keaton Miller. The Rockets had great defense holding the Warriors scoreless in the first half. The defense then slipped giving Berean a 2-1 lead. Dylan Simmons scored again to tie the game at two and sent the Rockets into overtime. The first overtime was scoreless which lead to the 2nd overtime. In double overtime the Rockets Keaton Miller scored the winning goal with an assist by Nathan Caddell. The Rockets are getting on the right track, moving their record to 1-2. The next game will be home September 6, against Independence. |

Volleyball Sweeps Quad
Volleyball went to Andale Tuesday night to compete against Andale, Augusta, and El Dorado. The Rockets started off hot winning their first match 25-15, but then dropped the second 18-25. The Lady Rockets finished off winning the game with a large vicotory 25-12. They then matched up against Augusta losing their 1st match a close 23-25. They then rallied together winning the next two matches 25-15 and 25-12. The Lady Rockets then played Andale to finish out the Quad. The Rockets Swept Andale 25-18 and 25-11. The Volleyball team comes out of the Quad victorious winning all 3 games. The Lady Rockets next game will be held at Ark City, who will be hosting the Ark City tournament this upcomming weekend. |
