Rockets defeat Independent
The Rocket Soccer team traveled to Independent to try to get back on the winning track. The Rockets scored early with the first goal by Josh Aubuchon assisted by Dylan Simmons. The Rockets didn’t let up after that as they proceeded on the scoring track with a goal by Brandon Smith and Ben Abraham to finish out the half. The Rockets went into halftime with a 3-1 lead over the Panthers. The Rocket defense had their work cut out for them as they tried to hang onto the lead. Independent, down by two, would cut into the Rocket lead during the second half putting the Rockets in an uncomfortable position. The Rockets would prevent the Panthers from tying the game and clinch the victory over Independent 3-2. |
