Volleyball Sweeps Buhler
The Rocket Volleyball team played the Buhler Crusaders in a 5 game series Tuesday evening. The Lady Rockets opened senior night with a 25-18 win in the first game. The Rockets didn't ease up on the Crusaders in the second game smashing Buhler 25-11. Buhler, who was ranked 3rd in the AVCTL Divison III, tried to regain lost ground the Rockets put upon them in the 3rd game, but the Rockets would not let it happen winning the final game 25-14. The Rockets, who are 2nd in the league, advanced their record to 12-5 overall. The Rockets finished out senior night with a sweep. The Seniors include: Hannah Hodges, Courtney McCune, Michelle O'Dell, Jenna Engles, Joy Hathaway, and Emily Jones. The Rockets next match will be in the Ottawa tournament, September 29. |

Rockets Fall to Vikings
The Rocket Soccer team came into Tuesday's game looking to get a victory. Having not scored in the past two games, the soccer team needed to get some offense going. Senior Captain, Keaton Miller, scored first for the Rockets, but Winfield struck back more than once on the Rockets defense. The Rockets struggled to get much else going letting Winfield push the lead and control much of the game. The Vikings would come out on top winning the game 7-2. The Rockets now have dropped 3 straight and will be looking to get back on the winning track against Independent Thursday, September 27th. |
