Rockets Open at Buhler
The Rocket football team opens their season this Friday night against the Buhler Crusaders. The Rockets are looking to start the season off 1-0. With very few returning starters from last year's 10-2 sectional runner-up team, the Rockets are looking forward to this upcoming season. During the soap scrimmage last Friday, the Rockets looked very strong on both sides of the ball. The Rockets are expecting a difficult game against the much improved Buhler Crusaders. Friday night's game will be held at Buhler starting at 7:00 pm. The Rocket Freshmen and JV will open their season at home on Tuesday, September 4th with the freshmen game starting at 5:00 pm and the JV at about 6:30 pm. |

Soccer Kicks Off tonight
The Soccer team will open their season tonight with a home game against Andover Central. The Rockets look to kick off a great soccer season with a bang. The soccer team will return 9 seniors and 5 starters, with an addition of 2 new coaches, Mike Terrell and John Ward. "We're looking to start off the season with a win" says senior captain Brandon Smith. The scrimmage last Friday was a success and Coach Treat was very pleased with the effort of the team. With a 10-8 record and regional runner-ups, the Rockets look to improve on last years results. The JV game will start at 5:30 pm tonight, followed by Varsity at 7:00 pm. |

Girls Open Season Tonight
The Rocket Volleyball team starts off the season tonight with a match against Andover and Mulvane. The Lady Rockets are looking for a great season with a new head coach Leah Rempel. The Lady Rockets are looking to improve upon last years 22-12 record. The Lady Rockets will be young after losing several seniors from last years team but will look to a talented group of underclassmen to help this years seniors. The first match will begin at 5:00 pm. The JV will open their season Thursday at Mulvane beginning at 5:00 pm. |
