Track Had it Tough in League
The Rocket Track Squad finished up their last meet before Regionals. The AVCTL Division III meet would be held at El Dorado consisting of the 6 teams in our league. The top performer for the boys would be Shawn Galindo in the 300 Hurdles finishing 3rd with a time of 43.21. Chris Paddock (Discus) and Jacob Sooter (Javelin) also racked in points in the field, both coming in 4th place. On the Ladies side, Senior Emily Jones made her mark in the Javelin finishing 2nd. In the two-mile run, Ashley Green would cross the finish line in 13:23.52 grabbing her a silver medal. Overall, both the boys and girl teams finished on the lower end of the results but will look to prepare for Regionals at Coffeyville coming up next Friday. |
