Softball Fails to Stay Undefeated
The Rocket Softball team went into the Andover Central game with a perfect 8-0 record. The Ladies planned on coming out of the night 10-0, but Andover Central refused. With an early 1-0 lead, the Rockets seemed to be in good shape, but a strong 5th inning would propel the Central momentum scoring 2 runs. The Rockets down by a run, couldn't manage to cross home plate, grabbing their 1st loss of the season in a close 2-1 game. The second game of the double header was another battle between the Rockets and the Jaguars. The Jags got out to a quick start at the bats and held the Rockets scoreless through 4 innings. A run in the 5th wouldn't be enough for the Rockets, and Andover Central would come out on top in the end. The Rockets fall to 8-2, and will get back on track against Circle next Monday. |

Baseball Loses to Good Jaguars
Baseball couldn't of asked for nicer weather to play in Monday night against the Andover Central Jaguars. The Rockets gave up runs early and struggled to fight back. Down by 9 runs after 3 innings the Rockets hopes of a comeback were scarce. The Jags would bat in 2 more runs as the final coup de gras. The second game of the night was a battle as the Rockets gave up an early 1st inning run but managed to stay in the game. Down by a run the Rockets would give up a crucial 4th inning allowing Central to bat in 3 runs. The Rockets never reached home plate as they would fall to the Jags 5-0. The Rockets will play at home Monday starting at 4:00. |
