Cold Track Meet, Decent Results
The Rocket Varsity track team had a lot of top finishers in Tuesday's meet at Belle Plaine. On the Boys side, the Rockets finished well with Jake Haydon winning the 110m Hurdles with a time of 15.33 along with Galindo grabbing gold in the Triple Jump with a jump of 37'11.5". The 4 x 8 team finished silver along with Jacob Sooter in javelin, Chris Paddock in discus, and Aaron Roger in the 3200m. The boys finished 3rd in the invitational consisting of 8 teams. The ladies, lacking depth, had a tough go as they finished 6th place. Emily Jones placed 4th in javelin with a toss of 94'3". The 4 x 100m relay finished 4th place with a time of 56.82 with the team of Lexie Pearce, Devin Randall, Emily Jones, and Bailey Burnett. The Rockets will look to improve on those times and scores before next Friday where only a select few will travel to the KT Woodman Invitational. |

Damp Conditons Hold Back RH
The Rocket golf team, coming off of two tournaments prior, traveled to Winfield to compete against 16 other schools. The Rockets had tough conditions, but played right through it and tried to contribute their best. Senior Terynce Smades shot the best for the Rockets with an 88, followed by Sophmore Tyler Arnett shooting a 96. The Rockets were followed up with kelly McReynolds (105) and Curtis Beard (112) for a team score of 401 finishing 14th in the Winfield tournament. The Rockets have some room to improve and will be back on the course April 10th at Augusta. |
