Softball Continues Success
The Rocket girls softball team, coming off large victories last week, looked to do the same Monday against the Kingman Eagles. The Ladies started off slow but finally got some runs in the second inning, but still trailed 4-6. Once the Rockets got going, they were tough to stop as they sailed away with the win 16-9 in the first game. In the game following, the Ladies came out ready to play, hitting home runs and batting well. Jordan Rehm, Randi Lucas, and Keelyn Bonar were among the Rockets that hit home runs. The Rockets beat Kingman 16-0 in the second game and will face off against Mulvane this Thursday.
Baseball Grabs First Wins
The baseball team, having difficulties the opening day, managed to get things together against Kingman. The Rockets started off the day hitting well, and Sophmore Heath Train would find his pitch to smash one out of the park. The Rockets would make few errors and they would come out victorious, 14-1. The Rockets momentum slowed down in the second game as Kingman looked determined to get the win. The Rockets held off the Eagles, and managed to come together and pull off another large win, 12-4. The Rockets will play the Mulvane Wildcats, April 3rd starting at 4:00 pm.
