Rockets Fall Short in Shootout
The Rocket girls soccer team, competing in the Goddard/Carroll Invitational, faced off against Bishop Carroll in the 3rd place game. The Rockets got off to a slow start and it looked as if the Eagles would take the game out of reach. Trailing 0-3 at half, the Rockets would make major adjustments and come out ready to play in the second. Kelli Herbel would put the first score on the board and that would rally the Rockets to more success as Terrell and Herman would both score to tie the game up at 3. The Ladies would hold off the Eagles and force a shootout. The shootout was even back and forth but the Rockets would come up on the tough end losing 4-3. The Ladies will play Andover Central next Tuesday starting at 6:30 pm. |
