Rockets Split Double Dual
The Rocket Wrestling team, due to a snowed out dual, met up with both Andover and Mulvane Thursday night. The Rockets would begin the evening against the Mulvane Wildcats. The Wildcats took some early points and made it difficult for the Rockets to strike a comeback in the end. Will Eaton, Zac Sparr, Ryan Anderson, Brenton Daniel, Stew Firebaugh and Kyle Smith would all come out with a win, but that wouldn't be enough as the Rockets had to forfeit two weights that helped the Wildcats beat the Rockets 33-39. Following the close loss, the Rockets looked to get at least one win out of the night, and that win would come against Andover with wins by Zac Sparr, Trey Ellington, Ryan Anderson, Jake Crouse, and Brenton Daniel. The Rockets pummeled the Trojans 53-12 setting them up for Regionals next Friday. |
