Rockets Fly Past Orioles
The Rocket Boys are catching a roll at the right time, winning four of their last five games, leading into
Sub-State next Tuesday at Fredonia. The Rockets fired out against Augusta and didn't look back, taking a 19 point lead going into the half. The Rockets did much of the same in the second with Caleb Brown connecting on 4 three-pointers which helped propel the Rocket lead even further. With time winding down, the Rockets let the second team finish it out for a final score of 68-52. Chase Ozbun led the team with 15, followed closely by Caleb Brown with 14, along with Blaize Foltz and Tyler Shirley contributing 12. The Rockets will bond this weekend at Camp Wood and prepare for Fredonia in the upcoming week.
Rockets Squeeze Past Augusta
The Lady Rockets traveled to Augusta Thrusday night to cap off their final regular season game. The Rockets squared off evenly against the Orioles in the opening quarter, but pushed the lead out in the second holding Augusta to only 2 points in the second quarter, taking a 9 point lead at the half. The Rockets battled with the Orioles throughout the second half, keeping it a close game until the end. Audra Pfannenstiel came up big for the Rockets in the fourth quarter scoring 8 of her game high 18 points and the Rockets hit 11-13 freethrows in the game to top off the Orioles 40-35.
