Wrestlers Send 4 to State
The Rocket Wrestling team traveled to Columbus last weekend to compete in the 4A regionals. The Rockets finished in overall high standings, taking 6th in the 15 team tournament. For some wrestlers it would be their last tournament and for others it would advance them to state. Those who advanced to compete in the 4A state championship tournament in Salina would be Seniors Ryan Anderson who finished 2nd (3-1), Brenton Daniel finishing 3rd (3-1), and Kyle Smith finishing 4th (4-1), along with Sophmore Zac Sparr who finished 1st going a perfect 3-0. The qualifiers will train hard this upcoming week, looking to finish well in Salina next Friday and Saturday. |

Boys Shoot Lights Out in Buhler
The Rocket Men basketball team had an oustanding performance Friday night at Buhler. The Rockets seemed unstoppable from the field shooting an outstanding 71 percent. The Buhler Crusaders had no answer for the Rockets fast paced game, and Rose Hill would lead 45-33 going into the half. The Rockets didn't cool off in the second half, and pushed the lead out of reach. All 5 of Rose Hill's starters finished in double figures. Chase Ozbun and Blaize Foltz chipped in 17 points apeice, followed by Caleb Brown with 15, Heath Train finished with 14, and Tyler Shirley with 13. The Rockets finished with a season high 81 points to top the Crusaders 59. The Rockets will play El Dorado Tuesday on Senior Night. |

Rockets Drop to Lady Crusaders
The Lady Rockets traveled to Buhler Friday night to try to knock off the AVCTL Division III leaders. The Rockets, who had trouble with Buhler eariler in the season, couldn't get much going early and fell down by 9 in the first quarter. The Lady Crusaders took advantage of their shooters, knocking down numerous three point attempts. The Rockets had no answer, and trailed 26-38 going into the locker room. The Rockets would cut the lead to 5 points in the 3rd, but the Crusaders weathered the run and pushed the lead back up. The Rockets would fall to Buhler 53-63. The ladies will look to bounce back from the loss, Tuesday night vs. El Dorado. |
