Boys Fight Back From 19 Points
The Rocket Boys Basketball team, coming off of a four game losing streak, trailed the Mulvane Wildcats early Friday night. The Rockets couldn't get much going in the first half and trailed by as much as 19 points. After going into the locker room down by 12 at the half, the Rockets rallied together and cut their deficit, and took the lead going into the fourth quarter. "We never gave up" said sophmore Tyler Shirley. The Rockets never quit as they held onto the lead in the fourth quarter and stifled the Wildcats on defense. The Rockets had 48 second half points, opposed to Mulvane with 24 points. The Rockets pulled off an amazing comeback on homecoming night with the final score Rose Hill 74, Mulvane 62. The Rockets were led by Tyler Shirley with a game high 25 points, followed by Blaize Foltz with 15 points. |

Ladies Capture Big Win vs. Cats
The Lady Rockets started off the homecoming evening matching up against the Wildcats of Mulvane. The Rockets had beaten the Cats twice eariler in the season and looked to add on another. The Rockets caught a slow start and Mulvane kept it close in the first half 24-19. The ladies would recooperate in the locker room at half, and come out fired up scoring 22 third quarter points. The Rockets outscored the Wildcats by 16 in the second half led by Whitney Bates with 13 points. The Rockets would push the lead and take the 62-41 victory against the cats. The Rockets had a balanced scoring attack with Pfannenstiel and Lucas both adding 11 followed by Joy Hathaway with 7 points. The Rockets will travel to Andover Tuesday to take on the Trojans. |
