Rocket Women Rebound
The Rocket women traveled to Mulvane to try and get back on a winning streak. Rose Hill had beaten the Lady Wildcats by nine earlier in the preseason tournament. The girls improved over the first victory to soundly defeat Mulvane on their home court for the second time this season. Kristy Herman was the leading scorer for the Lady Rockets with 17 points. Kelli Herbel also put in 8 points to help the Rockets. The final score was 54-27 bringing their record to an impressive 5-1. The Rockets go on break until Friday, January 4th, when they travel to ElDorado to take on the Wildcats. |

Rockets Struggles Continue
The varsity boys lost a close one at Mulvane in their second meeting of the season. The game mirrored the first contest in the Preseason Tournament as the Wildcats jumped to an early lead. The Rockets continued to battle but their offense remained shaky along with ongoing foul problems. The Rockets fought back in the second half but were not able to bring the score any closer than six. The last minute comeback for the Rockets fell short bringing the final score to 47-41. Caleb Brown led the Rockets by scoring 20 points, nearly half of the team's points. The Rockets fell to 2-4 on the season and will be off and looking to rejuvenate their season after the New Year. |
