Ladies Stumble Against Buhler
The Lady Rockets struggled to get the ball through the basket during the first quarter of their game against Buhler Tuesday. The Crusaders jumped to an early 7-0 lead before the Rockets could manage to score. Buhler continued their dominating first quarter and built a 15-6 lead after the first. The rest of the game was nearly even as the Rockets outscored the Crusaders by 2 points over the final three quarters. Audra Pfannenstiel was the leading scorer for the Lady Rockets with 14 points, including 10 in the second quarter. The Lady Rockets will now travel to Mulvane to play the Wildcats at 6:00 pm Thursday. |

Men Struggle to Score Again
The Rockt Men's basketball team is stuck in a shooting slump. For the second consecutive game, the men struggled to put points on the board. Buhler jumped out to an early lead and led by 14 points, 17-3, at the end of the first quarter. The Crusaders were also the beneficiary of many Rocket fouls as the Crusaders shot 27 free throws on the night compared to just 17 for the Rockets. The Rockets and Crusaders played a fairly even game after the first quarter, but the slow start and and 14-point deficit in the first quarter could not be overcome. The men will now regroup and travel to Mulvane Thursday. The Rockets defeated the Wilcats in the preseason tournament just a couple of weeks ago and hope to have another strong outing. |
