Girls Remain Undefeated
The Lady Rockets continued their winning streak and improved their record to 4-0 with a home win over the Andover Trojans Friday night. The cold weather did not affect the shooting of the Rockets as they remained on fire from the field. The Rockets have yet to be tested as they have won all four games this season, with the closest games being 9 point victories over both Mulvane and Andale in the Mulvane tournament. The Rockets were led by Kelli Herbel with 18 points and Kristy Herman with 15. The Ladies attempt to continue their hot streak against the Buhler Crusaders Tuesday night starting at 6:00 pm. |

Boys Lose League Opener
The boys took a step backward in their league opener at home against Andover. Andover, who is ranked 4th in state, showed their talent as they seemed automatic from three-point range. The Trojans took an early lead and never looked back as they defeated the Rockets 67-40. Eleven Trojans scored for Andover whereas the Rockets had only 5 scorers, led by Tyler Shirley and Caleb Brown with 12 points each, followed by Blaize Foltz with 10. In both Rocket loses on the season they have been held to 40 points. The Rockets hope to get their offense back on track Tuesday night against Buhler in their second home game of the young season. |

Top Five Finish
The Rockets traveled to Bishop Carroll to compete in another big meet. The Rockets competed against 4A, 5A and 6A Schools. The teams included in the tournament were Bishop Carroll, Wichita Heights, Newton, Andale, Campus, Winfield, Wichita South, Wichita North, K.C. Schlagle, and Mulvane. Former Rocket Wrestling Coach Darian Eshelmen took home 1st place as Bishop Carroll won with ease over the 10 other teams. Zac Sparr and Trey Ellington both lost in the finals to place second in the tournament. Kyle Smith finished in 3rd place and Ryan Anderson finished 4th. The Rockets will now take a break for Christmas before traveling to the Derby Invitational January 4th and 5th. |
