Soccer Unable to Advance
The Rocket Soccer team traveled to Andover to compete against the Trojans for the Regional Championship. The Rockets played strong on defense in the first half holding Andover scoreless. The Rockets couldn't get the ball moving on offense which took them into the half tied 0-0. Andover exploded out into the second half scoring multiple unanswered goals. The Rockets, with their season slipping from them, battled the Trojans throughout the second half. That wouldn't be enough, as Andover scored 6 goals in the second half while holding the Rockets scoreless. The mens soccer season had its ups and downs, but in the end they struggled to put the ball in the net, finishing their season with a 10-8 record. |

Terrell Finishes Well in State
Elise Terrell competed in Wamego Saturday in the Girls 4K State Meet. Elise, with some State experience the past two years, had a feeling of what to expect. Terrell has competed well at Wamego in the past finishing 4th in the 2-mile her freshmen year and 12th last year in the 4K. Terrell ran hard Saturday finishing 27th overall in the 4K with a time of 16:36.88. Terrell is expected to work hard throughout the off-seaon to try and improve her times for next year. She is looking to make it to State for the 4th time her senior year in 2008. The Rocket Cross Country team is hoping for a good outcome next year as there are no seniors graduating from the team. |
