Rockets Fail to Hold On
The Rockets, coming off a three game winning streak, traveled to Halstead to compete in the 38th annual Adolff Rupp Tournament. The Rockets were the 6th seed and would face off against the 4th seeded Andale Indians. The boys got off to a fast start taking a big lead in the 1st quarter 18-7. That was about all the Rockets had though as Andale outscored them the rest of the game and took a 23-26 lead at the break. In the second half Andale picked up the defensive pressure and the Rockets couldn't get much offense going resulting in a bigger deficit going into the 4th quarter. With time running low, the Rockets attempted a quick comeback but fell short in the end 39-51. The Rockets will drop to the consolation bracket and face Moundridge Thursday starting at 6:00 pm. |
