Boys Continue Winning Streak
The Men's Varsity Basketball team traveled to Kingman looking to continue their winning streak. The Rockets, who haven't lost in the new year, fired out to a 10-0 run in the early minutes of the ball game. They would push the lead to 14 at half leading the Eagles 41-27. The Rockets would continue to hold off the Eagles in the second half after numerous comeback attempts by Kingman. Tyler Shirley finished the game with 24 points followed by Chase Ozbun with 15 as the Rockets beat Kingman 68-57. The Rockets travel to Halstead Monday to participate in the Addolf Rupp Tournament against Andale starting at 6:00 pm. |

Ladies Soar By Eagles
The Lady Rockets, looking to improve on their outstanding 7-1 record, met up against the Kingman Eagles last Friday night. The Rockets got off to a great start and pushed the lead early in the half. They would extend the lead in the second quarter and go into half-time leading 30-17. The Rockets would do much of the same in the second half with 16 third quarter points followed by 12 points in the fourth. Audra Pfannenstiel led the Rockets with 14 points along with Kristy Herman and Kelli Herbel adding 12. The Rockets will look to continue their success Friday, January 18th against Wellington. |

Rockets take 3rd in Clearwater
The Rocket Wrestling team had a strong performance in the 14 team Clearwater Invitational. The Rockets finished the tournament with 122.5 points which would place them 3rd. Zac Sparr would start the Rockets off finishing the tournament 4-0 with 3 falls taking 1st place along with Freshmen Travis Belnap going 3-0 with 2 falls. Senior Ryan Anderson finished strong going 4-0 and taking home a 1st place medal. Kyle Smith and Trey Ellington both finished with one loss. The Rockets completed the tournament with 6 medalist which would advance them to 3rd place. The Rockets will have their first home dual of the year this Thursday against Buhler. |
